Steve Acevedo didn't need
someone to explain his business.
He needed someone to show
what it was built on.

Role

Production & Post Production

Lendistry is a minority-led CDFI and fintech lender built to close the capital gap for underserved small business owners across California. They came to us directly to produce and post produce a borrower story film — not a brand video for Lendistry, but a portrait of one of their borrowers and what access to capital made possible.

The borrower was Steve Acevedo, founder of Regatta Solutions — a full-service energy company delivering cost-effective, environmentally responsible power for prime power, secure power, peak shaving, and standby needs.

Energy infrastructure is technical.
Trust is human.

Regatta Solutions operates in a space that's hard to make feel personal — industrial energy systems, large-scale solar, standby power for businesses and institutions. Steve knows his field deeply, but that expertise doesn't automatically translate into the kind of story that builds trust with a lender or earns confidence from a new client.

Lendistry needed content that could do what a balance sheet can't: show who Steve is, what drives him, and why his business is worth betting on. That means putting him in his world — not in front of a camera in a conference room.

The film had to make a technical business feel grounded and real, without dumbing it down or manufacturing emotion that wasn't there.

We followed him into
the places his work actually lives.

We shot on location at Regatta Solutions' solar installation sites — wide open desert terrain, rows of panels stretching to the horizon, the kind of environment that immediately communicates scale and ambition without a single word of narration.

Steve driving through that landscape. Steve standing in front of what he's built. The rearview mirror catching his face as he moves between sites. These aren't staged moments — they're the details of a working day, filmed with the attention they deserve.

The camera work matched the landscape: wide, clean, unhurried. We used the scale of the environment to do what a talking-head interview never could — make you feel the size of what this business actually is before Steve says a word.

Lendistry came to us to handle full production and post production. From the initial scout through final delivery, everything ran through one director. That continuity shows in the finished film.
