So we’re back to Sony land friends. 3 Years ago I was using the Sony A6500 and A7RII, since then we’ve been on different camera systems (Canon 1DX II, BMPCC 4K, Panasonic GH5), renting other cameras for specific projects and have come full circle to the Sony ecosystem of cameras.

TIFFEN GLIMMERGLASS LENS DIFFUSION FOR FILMMAKING

In today’s video we are talking about Tiffen Glimmerglass, one of the more popular lens diffusion filters for filmmakers. There are different strengths, the one I am showing you today is the GlimmerGlass 1, it can be a little overpowering at times and depending on what focal length you’re using as well but it’s my top choice for lens diffusion for all of my work.

Tiffen also has them in different sizes, I have the 4×5.65 filter to use with my Misfit Atom matte box but they also have them in your standard 77mm and 82mm filter threads. At the end of the day we use lens diffusion to help get our videos to look more like film, to give a organic look that is not so sharp or digital.

COLOR CORRECT MADE EASY WITHOUT LUT – BMPCC 4K

In this video tutorial i’ll show you how to color correct your BMPCC 4K footage EASY without a LUT. I wanted to make this video as my experience with a lot of LUTs out there always leave more to be desired. The LUT can start to overexpose images, crush blacks, over saturate or not saturate an image enough.

With lot’s of time and experience with the BMPCC 4K i’ve found a very simple method to easily color correct your footage and avoid the limitations of using LUTs.
