With the Sony FX6 just released and the Sony FX9 being the clear upgrade to the Sony FS7, I want to make the argument of why a used Sony FS7 might be better for your needs in 2020 or in 2021. As a Sony FS7 owner myself, the camera has paid for itself multiple times in a short time and the image quality, the low light performance and high frame rates laid the foundation for the FX9 and FX6.
If you look at great cinematographers who have used the Sony FS7 over and over again such as Mark Bone (https://www.youtube.com/user/markandrewbone) and Robert Machado (https://www.youtube.com/user/RobChado) you can certainly see how the image quality has held up for a camera that is 6 years old now.

That being said there still are plenty of reasons why you might want to spend the extra money for a FX9 or FX6 and I hope this video gives you all the information you need.
